I obtained my PhD from the Northern Institute of Philosophy in Aberdeen in 2014. Since then, I have been a postdoc in Paris as part of Hannes Leitgeb, Marco Panza, and Gerhard Heinzmann’s Mathematics: Objectivity by Representation project, and at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute. In September 2021, I became an associate professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ newly founded Institute of Philosophy in Beijing.
My most important work consists of a solution to the liar paradox and a nominalistic philosophy of mathematics. Currently, I am working on the problem of induction and on anthropic reasoning. I am also interested in Bayesianism, decision theory, philosophy of science, and many other things.
